Knox Cameron

Director of Coaching and Player Development, coach of 00 Swarm Black

Coach Knox joined Saline FC in 2013. He played for the United States U18 and U20 National Teams, for U of M from until 2004 and after that Mayor League Soccer until 2007. He was awarded Big Ten Player of the Year 2003 and is the U of M’s All Time Leading Scorer. Knox has 15 years of Club Coaching Experience. He holds a MSYSA “E” License, a USSF National “D” License and a NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma.

 


 

Kevin Taylor

9v9 Technical Director, coach of 07 Sting Black, 06 Sting Black, 06 Sting Gold

Coach Kevin brings some significant creed to the field as a four year Florida ODP player, a four year starter at U of M, and a professional career that includes playing MLS for the Colorado Rapids. He’s the highest scoring defender in U of M history and the first U of M player to be drafted into MLS. He’s currently the head varsity coach at Ann Arbor Pioneer and has coached at other local clubs including the Michigan Tigers and MPSA Crush.

 


 

Leigh Rumbold

7v7 Technical Director, coach of 09 Swarm Black, 08 Swarm Black, 06 Swarm Black

Leigh hails from Heatherside, England. He has an F.A Level 2 coaching license and returns to the US after spending time in New Zealand, winning the Lotto Federation league with Team Taranaki. Leigh has also represented semi-professional sides Farnborough Town and Slough Town in his native England, as well as Lansing United in the NPSL, winning the Conference Championship and Midwest Regional Title in the clubs inaugural season.

 


 

Kevin Robinson

01 Sting Black

Kevin played with the University of Michigan. His soccer experience also includes being a US National Team member, the MVP Golden Boot recipient in the USYSA National Club Championship, the 1996 USYSA National Champion as well as other honors. His coaching experience includes coaching with the University of Michigan Soccer camps, WAZA, and the Chicago Lakefront Soccer Club.

 


 

Sebastian Lindner

09 Sting Black and 08 Sting Black

Sebastian grew up in Berlin, Germany and started playing soccer when he was 5 years old. During his youth, he played for SC Charlottenburg which is one of the biggest clubs in Berlin. Because of multiple injuries during his time as a player, he never made the move to one of the bigger clubs. Instead, Sebastian started coaching. He began his coaching career with one of the best coaches in Berlin. Sebastian has an E Level license as well as a Level A coaching certification through the German Soccer Association which is for coaching ages 7 to 12.

 


 

Victor Plase

08 Sting Gold, 07 Swarm Black, 07 Sting Gold, 05 Sting Black

Victor was born in Togo, but spent some years in Ghana growing up and playing soccer there through the academics. When he moved to Lyon, France to continue playing, he decided and chose to pursue his educational goals first. From Saline High, he now attends Oakland University and will be playing there as well. Victor holds an E license certificate. He started working with Saline FC a few years ago starting with the REC and has since fallen in love with the organization, parents and the kids.

 


 

Nicole Myint

08 Swarm Gold, 06 Swarm Gold

Nicole was born and raised in Ann Arbor, MI and grew up playing for a boys premier team at age 10-13. Then pursued Ann Arbor Arsenal Travel from age 13-18. Played 4 years Varsity at Pioneer High School graduating in 2000. Accepted a Soccer Scholarship to Concordia University, then later transferred to the University of Michigan. She still plays soccer with men and coed teams and is one to teach girls that competing with boys is no different than girls. She was a professional soccer trainer before coaching at the Michigan Tigers for two years. Nicole holds an E license certificate.

 


 

Mike Caldwell

04 Swarm Black, 03 Sting Black, 03 Sting Gold, 02 Swarm Black

Mike was born and raised in the Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor area and grew up playing for Ypsilanti travel in the SEMSA league playing U16 when he was a U13. He played 4 years Varsity starter at Ypsilanti High School. Studied at EMU majoring in Exercise Science and playing 4 years at EMU Mens Soccer Club. He also trained with Detroit Ignition for 2 years and then a further 3 years with Waza Flo-Pro. He still currently plays 11 v 11, indoor 6 v 6 and futsal 5 v 5. Mike holds an E license certificate.

 


 

Carlye Reynolds

05 Swarm Black

Carlye was born and raised in Georgia and started playing soccer at the age of 5. She began playing in competitive club leagues at age 10, and played 5 years of varsity soccer from 8th to 12th grade at her high school in Georgia. Carlye graduated from the University of Georgia in May of 2016, where she played four years, and captained three, on UGA’s Club Soccer team. During the coming summer, Carlye will be playing for Legends FC, the women’s semi-professional team in Brighton, MI.

 


 

Samantha Kersey

02 Swarm Gold

Samantha was born and raised in Clinton, MI.  She began playing soccer at the age of 4.  Samantha played competitively for Michigan Rush and earned a 4 year varsity starter award for Clinton High School.  She continued competitively for Tiffin University.  Prior to joining Saline FC, Samantha coached for the Clinton youth soccer program, additionally volunteering for Clinton youth soccer camps from 2010-2016.  Samantha served as assistant coach for Clinton High School varsity women’s soccer team 2013-2016.

 


 

Rachel Fletcher

10 Sting Black, 10 Sting Gold

Rachel grew up in Michigan where she began playing soccer at age 4. She played for the Michigan Gators in high school and played competitively throughout college. Rachel currently plays indoor in Ann Arbor, and outdoor in the Great Lakes Women’s Soccer League.   Prior to joining Saline FC, Rachel coached with Ann Arbor United and Lil’ Kickers. Since September 2017 Rachel holds an E License certificate.

 


 

Marcos Ugarte

09 Swarm Gold, 09 Sting Gold

Marcos was born in Madrid, Spain and moved to Providence Rhode Island at an early age. He comes from a soccer family with his father playing professionally in Peru and his brother playing at Bucknell University. Marcos played two seasons at Providence College earning Big East All Rookie Team his freshman year. He then went onto play two seasons at the University of Michigan. At the conclusion of his senior year, Marcos signed for the Rochester Rhinos of the USL, playing two seasons with the club and winning the league in 2015. He has had various training stints throughout his career including with the Houston Dynamo, New England Revolution, Stoke City U21’s, Michigan Tigers and Liverpool FC Ann Arbor Technical Training. He is now on staff with the men’s soccer program at Michigan as a volunteer assistant. Marcos holds a USSF  F License.

 


 

Spencer Ward

Goalkeeper Trainer

Spencer played in the US Developmental Academy for four seasons with Michigan Wolves and Vardar Academy. He was ranked #2 defense in the country as starting keeper in 2012/13. He lead the defense to a 3rd place finish in the Academy National Finals. Spencer was invited to the US National Team training combine in 2013 and trained with US National Team Keeper Coach Aron Hyde. He spent this summer with AFC Ann Arbor in the NPSL, and has experience in the PDL with Michigan Bucks. Being the current goalkeeper for Concordia University, after transferring from Coastal Carolina he will bring a lot of experience to Saline FC.
